Richard Dawkins Interviews The Bishop Of Oxford

Never been a fan of Richard Dawkins but this is interesting. Frankly I think it’s absurd to blame evil on religion. I would suggest it is a tad more complicated than that! Religion is an easy target and such an approach to the problem of ‘all evil’ is dangerous and irresponsible, in my opinion.
Not a fan of Dawkins? I think you are simply ignorant to his material all he says is fact and all correct.

Dawkins is obviously not ignorant to the fact that evil exists outside of religion and he doesn’t argue that it doesn’t. He argues that it (religion) is dangerous and harmful to the world, not that all evil is due to religion. Did you even watch the actual documentary? It sure sounds like you haven’t….

To be fair to Mr. Dawkins, he did apparently protest the title of the documentary to Channel 4. They would not relent, however. The only concession he did manage was the addition of the question mark.
I stand by my opinion that to assert (more so in the title than even the content of the film) that religion is ‘the root of all evil’ is dangerous and irresponsible. This, it would appear, is the fault of the Channel 4 production team. However, if I was Dawkins I would have refused to put my name to it if the title wasn’t changed. Just my opinion.
Knowledge is power and with power comes responsibility. The media is a disturbing lense as it is without Oxford Deans of Evolutionary Biology failing to exercise their alleged intellects and influence by preventing such spectacular pop-distortion of such grossly, disproportionately powerful subliminal suggestion.
