“Were you the only hacker in these systems?”; “No… People from Turkey, Holland, Germany. They just didn’t get caught… The security was so poor I suspect a lot of them were foreign governments.”

Having had a background in the military and IT system development, I wrote to the Home Secretary regarding the extradition of Gary McKinnon to the US on trumped up charges. My best wishes go to Gary during his hearing at the House Of Lords over the next week or two. This interview is fascinating and will bring you up to speed if you don’t already know about this. Interesting clip. Thanks for posting. I notice that his blink rate increases when asked about the actual evidence that he claims to have found about UFOs and free energey. Guess what? He didn’t capture a screenshot of the crucial image. The crucial image was of extremely low res anyway and it was of something that looked like a UFO. Could’ve been anything. An artist’s impression.

My best guess is: if they were indeed aware of his presence (as he says in this clip) and were monitoring his latter access, they could have easily applied a sting operation to nail him. His ‘source’ feeds him information as the presense and precise directory location of ‘crucial data’, they build the directory structure, plant some spoof files and wait for him to go for it, as soon as access of the spoof data is detected they know they have their man. Classic hacker entrapment technique. The funny part is, sounds like he actually believes he found something of consequence.

    Hey Buzz,

Type ‘disclosure’ into the search box on the right and look up Dr.Stephen Greers presentation at the Washington DC Press Club back in 2001.

I’m fairly certain Gary didn’t find much at all, but the chances of any of that information being on a publicly accessible network are extremely thin.

The issue now, really, is whether the UK should extradite him to face up to 70 years in a US maximum security prison. In my opinion – for reasons I do not have the time to detail here – no.
