I’m sorry, you must be an American. I can tell because of your statement above, which shows a complete lack of understanding of how the economy actually works. That’s to say, you’re not educated, you’re propagandized and indoctrinated. And it sure does show.

The “elite” don’t do anything but take the money and hide it in offshore accounts, or build third world factories in which they employ literal wage slaves. Get used to the idea, because we’ll be soon joining them.

Just ask any of the wage-slaves in those third world factories how wonderful their elite masters are. BTW, those factories used to be located here in the US, and were staffed by people who were DESERVEDLY well-paid. Remember them? The folks who could afford to buy the stuff they made? Henry Ford started the concept . . . ah, never mind. You probably have no idea what I’m talking about.

REAL economies aren’t based on shopping and consuming. They’re based on WORKERS and the CREATION OF WEALTH. You can’t have an economy where everything is made everywhere else, and all we do is import and buy it. Know what happens when a country does that? Look out the window. There it is. I’ve known since the *1980′s* that this was coming, when our economy started down this mill-shutting/offshoring/layoffing/downsizing path

(I’ve NEVER been in debt. I don’t own much, but what I do own is MINE. At least until they take it for taxes. Why did I choose that path? Because the debtor is SLAVE to his debt, and I’m no slave, Cindi).

The only thing that surprises me is that this inevitable collapse has taken so long. But then again, the “elites” you think are so necessary kept re-inflating the bubble and re-inflating it ad nauseum until we have this horrifying mess that’s going to make the 30′s look like a pipe dream.

After all, if one keeps postponing medical care for a serious disorder, by the time one finally seeks medical aid, what once may have taken a couple of aspirin and bed rest now requires months in the ICU, most likely followed by a trip to the morgue. And that’s the state our economy is now in, thanks to your beloved elites.

Yeah Cindi, who needs workers, creativity, and a strong manufacturing base when ya have wealthy elites whose only job is printing money out of thin air?!
