The Green Beautiful by Coline Serreau
I’ll be honest, I’ve only watched the first part thus far. I found it interesting. I’ve posted it here mainly on the reviews others have given it.

This film really makes you think, what if, what if…
No wonder it was banned in the USA.
I found it hilariously funny in places, and deeply troubling in others, and for some obscure reason, it all makes sense somehow, and I wouldn’t object at all to be abducted by these “aliens”.

the film of lighting!!
it looks like this movie was based on the books by V. Megre, “Ringing Cedars of Russia”. Anastasia described a similar life we lived before Egypt and Rome.
I loved that movie, and really sad that I watched it so late, but I must be from this lucky minority who have the chance to see it. Very beautiful and creative work. Reminded me Ursula K. Le Guin’s novels! A big loss if you haven’t watched it.
I absolutely loved this film. I don’t usually like alien films or most science fiction films. But this was an exception. As for the fast subtitles, I just have to see it a few more times to really grasp all of the content. The dialogue was like poetry, so many good scenes. It is the type of film where you think you would laugh, or where you think it would be ridiculous. But somehow it hangs together beautifully. I can’t recommend it enough.
