Videos with profanities will be demoted. Guidelines are so vague they basically mean “anything we don’t like will be redacted.”
As far as I’m concerned, let them. It only opens up competition for somebody to produce a video-sharing site that ISN’T lobby-controlled, like www.liveleak.com, www.wikileaks.org, etc…
Bring it on, Google. This is planet Earth, not China.

I was at a political forum recently and a friend asked a prominent human rights campaigner and British MP, a Daily Mail/Guardian/Observer journalist, and the film maker Ken Loach, among others, to comment on this. None of them knew anything about it.
